UNN 119th Inaugural Lecture By Professor Nnanyelugo Okoro





The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nigeria (UNN), Professor Benjamin Ozumba, invites members of Senate, staff and students, as well as members of the public to the 119th Inaugural Lecture of the University.
The topic of the Lecture is titled, “Positioning Nigeria as a Brand for Global Competitiveness in the 21st Century: Roadmap to Best Practice”. The Lecture will be delivered by Professor Nnanyelugo Okoro (Professor of Mass Communication).
The event commences at 1:00 pm at Princess Alexandra Auditorium, Nsukka Campus of the University of Nigeria on Thursday, 15th June, 2017.

NHRC CALLS FOR ACCELERATED HEARING OF RAPE AND SGBV CASES IN COURT

Mr Chia Nor, Coordinator, National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), Nassarawa state, has called for accelerated hearing and prosecution for Rape, Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV), cases in court. Nor made the call in an interview with newsmen in Lafia on Saturday. According to him, acceleration of such cases will mean faster conclusion and convictions of those alleged to have committed these offences.
